Refund policy

Once you have placed your order, you will have 28 days to return it. We will be unable to provide refunds past that date.

If you wish to return your order, fully or partially, please contact us at info@theyarncake.co.uk quoting your order number and contact details to negotiate a return.

Once your return is received, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund or exchange.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will be applied to your original method of payment.

Furthermore, to be eligible for a refund or exchange, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. For example, skeins must not have been wound and needles and hooks must be in their original packaging.

Due to the nature of the products, gift cards, books and items from the bargain bucket are non-returnable.


Defective or damaged items
Please send us an email at info@theyarncake.co.uk with your order number and details of the damage. We aim to respond within 48 hours.

The Yarn Cake is not responsible for postage costs or if the parcel is lost in the post when you return the goods. It is therefore recommended that you use a traceable service for returning the goods. If you want an exchange we will be in touch regarding your requirements.  We are only able to exchange for items currently in stock. And you will be responsible for all shipping costs.
